Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between organizational structure and organizational entrepreneurship in the General Department of Social Security of Greater Tehran.
Method: The current research is applied in terms of its purpose; In terms of the data collection method, it is a description of the correlation of two variables, and it is considered a case study in the sense that it examines the "General Department of Social Security of Greater Tehran". The statistical population of this research was made up of managers and experts of the General Department of Social Security of Greater Tehran, who were 110 people, of which 71 people were selected as a sample. The method of data collection was through a questionnaire. Spearman's rank correlation test was used to test the research hypotheses and test the correlation between the elements of organizational structure and organizational entrepreneurship. The main research hypothesis examines the relationship between organizational structure and organizational entrepreneurship, and 3 sub-hypotheses examine the dimensions of structure according to Robbins, including complexity, concentration, and formality, with organizational entrepreneurship.
Findings: According to the results of the hypotheses test, a significant relationship between the dimensions of organizational structure and organizational entrepreneurship was confirmed.
Conclusion: Considering the negative relationship between the components of organizational structure and organizational entrepreneurship in the General Administration of Social Security, it can be said that there is no suitable structural background for the implementation of organizational entrepreneurship, and if organizational entrepreneurship is to be developed in the social security of Greater Tehran, it is necessary. Regarding the reform of the organizational structure, necessary measures have been taken and by strengthening the existing weak points, it has created a suitable platform for the implementation of entrepreneurship.
