Purpose: Improving the health of the community will increase the quality of life and life expectancy in that community. By providing health insurance coverage to households and reducing people's share of out-of-pocket expenses, Social Security Organization is the largest insurance organization providing basic health insurance services in the country with the aim of increasing the welfare of households in society. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influencing paths and relationships between variables.
Method: The method of this research is modeling. Models are used to analyze phenomena that cannot be understood without modeling due to their complexity and diversity. The purpose of modeling is to understand the complex processes of phenomena in the real world.
Findings: Expanding the coverage of social security insurance through increasing the depth of coverage of health services and reducing out-of-pocket payments by households, especially for some health services that have the highest amount of out-of-pocket payments by households in social security insurance, have favorable welfare effects in the society.
Conclusion: For increase welfare in the society, it is necessary to take measures such as expanding the coverage of social security services through increasing the direct treatment centers of the social security organization that provide health services in the country, increasing the level and scope of service coverage for the insured people of the social security organization, especially for services whose coverage is low and paying attention to households in low income deciles in terms of increasing the package of services covered by insurance.
