The Relationship between Organizational Culture & Organizational Learning & How They Are Affected by the Individual Variables (Case Study: SSO Hospitals and Clinics, Ardabil Province)

Abstract

Objective: Understanding the importance of organizational culture and organizational learning             as well as the impact of the staff individual variables on them, is necessary for managers and senior officials of the health providing centers. The present study concentrates on the relationship between organizational culture and organizational learning and how they are affected by the individual variables of nursing and midwifery staff of the SSO hospitals and clinics in Ardabil province, in 2021.
Method: The study was descriptive-correlation (consistency) of relationships between variables. The data are quantitative in terms of functional goal and nature. Statistical society of the study included 265 individuals, out of which 157 individuals were selected as statistical sample based on Cochran's formula. Data collection was carried out randomly using Denison's Organizational Culture Questionnaire (DOCQ) and Senge's Learning Organization Questionnaire (SLOQ). Using Chronbach's Alpha validity of the questionnaires were obtained 90/0 and 93/0 for DOCQ and SLOQ, respectively. Statistical data analysis was performed using SPSS software.
Results: There was a significant relation between organizational culture, organizational learning and individual variables of nursing and midwifery staff working in the SSO hospitals and clinics in Ardabil province.
Conclusion: Results from the study suggest that nursing and midwifery staff of Ardabil province had undesirable mental perceptions towards organizational learning variable. Organizational culture mission factor had the highest contribution to the desirability of the learning organization, followed by components of the organizational culture such as compatibility, adoptability and partnership.
