Objective: The main purpose of this study is to survey the socio-economic factors of individuals who are not covered by insurance organizations. These people have no insurance coverage or only have life insurance. Both of these groups are targets for this study and could be potentially covered by the Social Security Organization. In addition to people without basic insurance coverage (social insurance), these factors are also extracted about other groups including people with basic insurance, people with different activities, housewives and people covered by the Relief Foundation.
Method: This study is conducted in two sections of descriptive-inferential statistics and "household budget" data are used. The statistical population of the study is all Iranian urban households in year 1398, and sample of the study is urban people aged 18 to 50 years old in Iran. The data are first identified with Access software and then purged using IBM and Python analytics software and finally analyzed with that softwares and PowerBI.
Results: The results show that among the socio-economic factors studied, income, gender, age, education and the type of activity of individuals are correlated with being covered by social insurance or not, so that the level of income, education and age of urban people aged 18 to 50-year-old population who are covered with social insurance are higher than people without social insurance. Furthermore, the number of men covered by insurance are higher than women, while among people without social insurance, women have a share of 1.3 times more than men. Also, more than 90% of housewives do not have social insurance coverage and they are mostly literate, with an average age of 35 holding diploma or lower degrees.
